What an amazing event!!! near 55 waterwoman, sharing a downwinder from Cabarete Beach all the way to Playa del Encuentro, riding Kites, SUP´s, Kayak´s and Windsurfs.
The inscriptions were on the 6th at night at ONNO´s Bar in Cabarete, with a great vibe! you could see what this event was going to bring to the beach of Cabarete!
the next day on saturday at 11 am, all the butterflies got together at Voy Voy Bar, to organize the day, they started with a Beach clean up, to continue with Yoga stretching, from there it was just to wait till the wind started to pick up…
so it did, around 1:30 the girls started to rig up their equipment, whatever they decided to ride , and they all went towards the ocean, in a massive group wearing blue rashguards, it was pretty awesome to see, all this girls united for one cause! great!, they made a quick stop in kite beach, just to show off, to continue down to Encuentro Beach were was the final destination.
everybody made it safe, and it was incredible to see how they one by one, were reaching the coast, there was a lot of power and energy on the air, GIRL POWER! and they were super happy to be on the water, just women!!! at the end, everybody together went to 321Take Off, surf school to have a refreshment and start to get ready for the night party at Nikki Beach!, it was a really well organized event, lots of fun, lots of spirit, and a taste of what the girls are capable to do for the sport!

11:30pm – 12:15pm –Beach Clean Up Everyone is welcome to participate in this part of the event.
12:15pm – 1:00pm –Photos / Stretching Session / Safety
1:00pm -1:30pm –Rig gear, set up kites, paddle boards and kayaks in front of Club Natalie Simon – Juice provided!
1:30pm – 2:00pm –Take off for Downwinder!!! ***wind dependent***
2:30pm – 3:30pm –Arrival at Encuentro
3:30pm –4:30pm –Refreshments and snacks / De-rig gear and load truck
4:30pm – 5:00pm – Return to Cabarete – transportation provided.
8:00pm – Closing party at Nikki Beach Cabarete
There will be a raffle and a silent auction to raise money for both the event and The DREAM Project! All are welcome.
