Jacob Hanson

Jacob is an IKO instructor, born and raised in a small town located on the coast of British Columbia, Canada.

After completing university and a intense varsity soccer career he followed his passion to become a teacher and one year later completed the BC Teacher Education Program.  Who would have guessed that would lead to teaching kiteboarding in the Mayan Riviera! 

After the completion of his education he followed his brother up to northern BC to join him in a season of Forest Fire Fighting.  Hiking mountains, running chainsaw and flying in helicopters gave him the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful places in the world. 

Now after two seasons of fighting forest fires and one season in the Mayan Riviera, Jacob is fired up as always and coming into this 2009/2010 season with renewed energy and enthusiasm!
